At TPC, we know there are deep problems with the way a lot of the contemporary church has done youth ministry – all too often, ministry to youth has devolved into entertainment, with the gospel subordinated to improving self-esteem or promoting a feelings-centered or experience-centered approach to the Christian life.
At TPC, we believe the primary burden for discipling the next generation rests on the shoulders of fathers. But the church can certainly have a place assisting parents as they seek to raise up their children to maturity in the faith, and that is our goal with TPC’s youth ministry. In addition to Sunday School, we have a monthly Bible study that seeks to ground our youth in the Scriptures, helping them grapple with God’s answers to life’s biggest questions.
We also support youth mission trips with organizations like Peru Mission. Many of our youth have attended various CREC youth camps over the years:
